Controversial Policy -Ipod

One of the rules at Olympian states that there are to be no electronics, such as the Ipod, in class. In my opinion, the use of Ipods during Independent study in class would not hurt. With the use of music during our studies alone, we would be more engrossed in our music and studies we will not be distracting others or being disruptive. Yes there is the fact that there are times when we should not be using our electronics such as when the teacher is giving a lecture or instructions, or when there is someone speaking to the class (ex. other teachers, guest speakers, principal/vise principal, etc.). Otherwise I think it would be exceptional for the students to be able to listen to their music. Others like myself are more focused when listening to music. It helps us stay motivated and work without disruptions.
