Contraversial Rule-Gum

The no gum policy at school is kind of an uneeded one. Even with this rule in place there are countless kids that chew gum everyday at school. The main concerns that I think the school has with gum is that when you spit your gum outside, it stayes and leaves a black spot on the ground, and the gum that's under the multitude of desks. At the grade-level assemblies, the teachers said that they were proud that Olympian High had practically no black "gum spots" on the floor. As I mentioned before, theres a lot of people that chew gum on campus even with the no gum rule in place, so the no gum rule might not even have anything to do with the no black spots on the floor. In the classrooms in almost every period there is someone who has to throw their gum out. The no gum rule is why there is so much gum underneath the desks, people are worried about getting caught during class so they stick it under their desk. The school should change their no gum rule
