It has caused about $40 million worth of damage to the areas it has hit. Many houses have been destroyed and power lines have been knocked down, causing many deaths and leaving many without a home. Hurricane Irene has caused many floods and many flights have been cancelled. It has caused many problems that may take years to fix.
