Plagiarism

Plagiarism is when someone takes someone's else idea and use it in their work. Plagiarism is a serious crime and can ruin your future.In school it is not worth it to copy others work an end up with an F than giving your horrible piece of work and getting a score of at least a D. If you are caught plagiarizing you automatically get an F in the homework. Also if you were to apply for a job and plagiarized in school you will not be able to get that job.

Plagiarism

Copying and pasting someone's work or idea and calling it your own is intolerable, otherwise known as plagiarism. Plagiarism is characterized as thievery which is a serious offense and is taken just as seriously as other violations. Plagiarism can range from copying the work or idea word for word, to only changing every other word; so be very careful when paraphrasing. It's imperative that you do what you can to avoid plagiarism, such as being discreet when taking notes from a source and making the citation obvious to make sure it is clearly separated from your words and your quote. Yet no matter what the reason may be, writers have the right to their ideas and should be acknowledged by putting in quotation marks and siting the source of the information.

Plagiarism

I don't know about you but I do not like it when people take my ideas and call them as there own. Today, we call this act plagiarism. It is the act of taking another person's ideas, writing, etc. and making them your own. Plagiarism is wrong in all terms and never acceptable. Even if you just use a couple of ideas and try to revise it in as little as possible, it's still very wrong. No one likes it when there ideas are used and they get no credit for it. The person who came up with it should be praised for it. Don't steal others ideas and do not plagiarise!

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is when you take something someone else said and use it as your own. Plagiarism is against the law and just is not right. Honestly, would you want someone to take something you said and say they were the ones who said it? No. Its like trying to steal. Are you going to steal from a store? No. Why? because you know it is wrong. Plagiarism is like trying to steal from a store, it is just wrong, and it gets you no where. If you plagiarize you really are not learning anything. You do not give yourself a chance to learn the material you are working on, instead you are taking the easy way out and, well, cheating. Think about it, would you rather get it wrong but get credit, or get it right but get caught?

Say No To Plagiarism

          Plagiarism is a serious crime. It involves someone copying someone else's work precisely as it is written and labeling it as their own. Plagiarizing is an easy way out so you will not have to do any real work, but it is not helping you or even the person who wrote it. From what I know, the person is actually harming themselves by not giving himself or herself a chance to gain a skill that will most likely help them in the future. Back then, it might not have been a big deal because we did not have the technology to figure out if someone has plagiarized or not, but now that we do the person can be caught within the hour. Plagiarism can become a habit and can ruin a persons future, especially in a university or collage if they get caught, in which at some point they will. In high school it involves a big, fat "F" in their citizenship grade and a zero percentage on the assignment they plagiarized on, but at least it does not go on your transcript. However, in a collage or university if you plagiarize and get caught, it can result in expulsion and a permanent sign on your back to all other collages or universities that you have plagiarized once and might do it again.A wrong doing that could not be taken back once it is done. That is why hard work should always be a persons first choice because later on they will have something to be proud of and lets face it, even brag about.

No Plagiarism

Since we were little we've been taught to not steal. So why do it now? Plagiarism is practically the same thing! It's when you take the words of someone else, and say that you wrote them yourself. It's stealing someone else's work and telling others it's yours. We should not plagiarize in the first place because it's illegal, and really, who in an accelerated 10th grade english class wants to be doing something against the law? Also, because it makes us look bad over all. It makes our intelligence level look low, like if we don't have the brain to make up our own work. It makes us seem unoriginal, and i'm pretty sure that a university wouldn't want a student of these qualities to attend their school.

               OK if i was to turn in something like that up there, I would be in serious trouble plagiarism is illegal. At Olympian High punishment for plagiarism is to be sent to the office, get a ref feral  go to Saturday school, and get an F in the assignment you copied. It should not be allowed anywhere because you are taking full credit for someone elses work. If you find an idea or two that you like from someone else's work you are able to putt it in yours as long as you paraphrase or write it in your own words. In Raquel's sentence number 5, if i like it i can put it as "First of all don't plagiarize because its illegal and second if your in an accelerated class you shouldnt have to try and plagiarize." Instead of "We should not plagiarize in the first place because it's illegal, and really, who in an accelerated 10th grade english class wants to be doing something against the law?"

Plagiarism



Plagiarism is copying someone else's work and using it as if you created it. I would rather think plagiarism is wrong and should not be allowed because it is like "robbing" an idea from a person, word by word, into your own. Copying someone elses work will not help benefit on developing your ideas and will not get you anywhere in life. Also, you will not be successful in your academics and will not go any further into your thinking process. Consequences can be addressed to you such as getting expelled from a college/university, a referall to the school assistant principal, "F" in citizenship grade, zero on the assignment, and a conference with your parents. Plagiarizing someone elses work will not get you a good grade and people can find out that you did plagiarize or not.
